The Tokyo Indie Games Summit, organized by Phoenixx Inc., is set to showcase an impressive lineup of indie games from local and global developers on March 8th and 9th, 2025. This annual event, held both digitally and in-person in Kichijoji, promises entertainment, education, and excitement for indie creators, industry members, and gaming enthusiasts alike.
This year’s summit features a variety of on-site events designed to engage and inspire attendees. You can check out the exhibitors and tune in to the Tokyo Indie Games Summit YouTube Livestream for a virtual visit to Kichijoji, filled with the latest indie game updates from Japan. Tickets are now available for Business Day on March 8th and General Admission Day on March 9th.
On Saturday, March 8th, attendees can look forward to the “Indie Game Journal,” which includes live gameplay sessions of must-see indie titles and hidden gems straight from the show floor. Game publishers like Cygames and Bandai Namco will also share insights into the inner workings of their publishing studios.
Sunday, March 9th, brings even more excitement with select members from the VTUBER group NIJISANJI competing alongside attendees in the Blazing Sails “Kisshouji Pirate King Playoff.” Following this, attendees can witness the “Strongest King Match” in the fast-paced RTS Jelly Troops, presented by Bandai Namco’s GYAAR Studio.
The “Indie Game Journal Part 2” will continue to showcase impressive games for viewers back home. The highlight of the day will be the Tokyo Indie Games Summit Award, celebrating unique and innovative indie games crafted by creators from around the world. Further details about the award will be announced at a later date.
Kazunori Sakamoto, CEO of Phoenixx and founder of the Tokyo Indie Games Summit, shared the event’s mission: “The Tokyo Indie Games Summit began with the aim of providing a place for indie game creators to gather, be inspired, and foster a sense of community. To celebrate our third year, we are announcing the Tokyo Indie Games Summit Award.”
