Street Fighter 6 fans, get ready to welcome a new challenger! SNK’s iconic kunoichi, Mai Shiranui, makes her debut in Street Fighter 6 today, bringing her fiery moves and captivating style to the roster. Available across PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, Mai is the second-ever guest character in Street Fighter history, adding a fresh flavor to the battles.
Players can experience Mai’s dynamic presence across all three game modes: Fighting Ground, World Tour, and Battle Hub. In Fighting Ground, engage in fierce battles with Mai’s unique moveset inspired by SNK classics. In World Tour, discover Mai as the newest Master and learn her iconic techniques. In Battle Hub, use Mai’s moves in avatar battles and show off your ninja skills.
For those who own the Year 2 Character Pass or Ultimate Pass, Mai is available right away. Alternatively, she can be purchased separately with Fighter Coins. Mai comes with two stunning outfits: Outfit 1, reminiscent of her classic style from the Fatal Fury series, and Outfit 2, based on her newest look in SNK’s upcoming Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves. Outfit 2 can be acquired via Fighter Coins or by maxing out your bond with Mai in World Tour.
Alongside Mai’s debut, several updates are rolling out to enhance the Street Fighter 6 experience. The famous FGC competitor and now Street Fighter 6 Battle Director, Woshige, arrives as a special guest V-Rival in the Battle Hub. Challenge Woshige with Luke, Cammy, and Akuma to earn a special emote and challenger screen illustration.
Master League is also getting a trio of changes, including new ranks of High Master, Grand Master, and Ultimate Master. Players can earn rewards by playing Ranked Matches with characters they’ve achieved Master rank with. Additionally, multiple quality-of-life updates are being introduced, such as new replay features, World Tour updates, and Local Tournament Mode settings.
The Mai Fighting Pass, titled “Say Hello to Mai!”, offers avatar gear inspired by Mai’s outfit, a snazzy Challenger Screen effect, and the Flame Dragon God (Nippon Stage II) music to celebrate Mai’s arrival. Players can expect a slew of moves that put Mai in control of the arena with flaming projectiles, divekicks, and more.
