Arc System Works Co., Ltd. has thrilled fans by announcing the global release date for the highly anticipated HUNTERxHUNTER: NENxIMPACT. Set to launch on July 17, 2025, this game marks the first-ever fighting game adaptation of the iconic manga and anime series by Yoshihiro Togashi. Available in both physical and digital formats for PlayStation®5, Nintendo Switch™, and PC via Steam, this release promises to bring nen-enhanced battles to a worldwide audience.
HUNTERxHUNTER: NENxIMPACT will feature 16 characters at launch, each drawn from various arcs of the 2011 anime adaptation. Players can look forward to discovering unique fighting styles and powerful abilities as they engage in intense battles. Digital preorders for PlayStation®5 and Steam are now open, with special bonuses for early adopters. Those who preorder the Deluxe Edition will enjoy 48-hour early access and exclusive color variations for Killua (PS5) and Hisoka (PC). The game will offer a variety of modes to cater to different playstyles. Offline modes include Free Battle for local multiplayer fun, Training mode for honing skills, and Story mode to relive iconic scenes from the anime. Single mode features challenges like the “Sky Arena” and “Combo Trial,” while online modes boast a quality rollback netcode for seamless global matches. Players can compete in Player Matches for casual play or Ranked Matches to climb the leaderboards and earn G.I. Cards.
Excitingly, Neferpitou from the Chimera Ants arc will join the roster as a DLC character, available separately or as part of the Deluxe Edition. Neferpitou is also the first character in Season Pass 1, with more characters to be revealed later in 2025.
