Dive into a world of cosmic horror and mystery with Arkham Mysteries: Chapter One, now available on Steam and Kickstarter. Developed by Squidbit Works, this narrative exploration game is inspired by the eerie universe of H.P. Lovecraft and promises to immerse players in a captivating story filled with riddles and puzzles.
Following the success of Lords of Exile, released in February 2024, Squidbit Works introduces their latest project, Arkham Mysteries: Chapter One. This first chapter kicks off a saga of cosmic horror and mystery based on original tales. Players will find themselves in a dark and distorted world, exploring a hidden dimension with the help of an ancient artifact known as the Eye of Kadath. As they solve intricate puzzles and uncover hidden secrets, the line between reality and the supernatural blurs.
Arkham Mysteries: Chapter One offers multiple endings based on the player’s decisions, providing a unique experience where every choice can bring you closer to the light or the darkness. The game combines a deep narrative with exploration and puzzle-solving mechanics, leading players to face their own fears while unraveling the mystery of Professor Wellington’s disappearance.
Key features of the game include striking and immersive graphics that fully immerse players in a world of cosmic horror, a dark world inspired by the myths of Lovecraft, and the power of the Eye of Kadath to uncover secrets in a hidden dimension. Players will test their logic and cleverness to solve hidden puzzles and make decisions that directly influence the course of the story, leading to one of several possible endings.
Arkham Mysteries: Chapter One is available for PC and Steam Deck at launch, with plans to bring it to as many platforms as possible. The game is developed by Squidbit Works, a small two-person team with a deep passion for video games. Founded in 2017 by Carlos (@CZAzuaga), a software engineer who turned his love for technology into video games, the studio came to life with the development of Lords of Exile. After its success, Aida, a fan of cosmic horror literature, joined the team. Together, they created Arkham Mysteries: Chapter One, inviting players to explore the unknown.
