Split Fiction: Co-op Adventure with Friend’s Pass and Crossplay

EA and Hazelight Studios have unveiled a new trailer for Split Fiction, showcasing the return of the popular Friend’s Pass feature. This allows players to share the co-op experience with a friend for free, even if only one person owns the game.

Split Fiction enhances the Friend’s Pass with crossplay functionality, enabling players on different platforms—PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S—to team up. If neither player owns the game, they can still enjoy a free trial using the Friend’s Pass, giving them a taste of Hazelight’s co-op magic.

In Split Fiction, players step into the roles of fantasy writer Zoe and sci-fi author Mio. These two contrasting characters must collaborate to escape a simulation of worlds crafted from their own stories. The game is designed for two players, offering a true co-op adventure that blends genre-jumping gameplay with teamwork challenges across stunning sci-fi and fantasy landscapes.

Split Fiction is set to launch on March 6 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and the EA app, priced at $49.99. To use the Friend’s Pass, players will need a free EA Account. For those without a co-op partner, the Hazelight Discord server’s “Looking for Player” channels can help connect with other gamers in the community.
