NetEase Games and Bad Guitar Studio are thrilled to announce the global launch of FragPunk, a stylish 5v5 free-to-play hero shooter now available for PC. Combining frenetic tactical combat with innovative twists, FragPunk introduces a groundbreaking Shard Card system that lets players rewrite the rules of battle. The game is available on Steam and Epic Games Store, with future releases planned for Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation®5.
Players can dive into Season 1, live across the world, with all Shard Cards free to play from launch. To celebrate, the team has announced a worldwide Shard Card design contest, offering players the chance to showcase their creativity.
The first season, Wild Dawn, lasts for four months and is divided into two chapters. Starting with 13 unique Lancers, over 150 Shard Cards, seven Shard Clash maps, and dozens of competitive or chaotic game modes, new Lancers and Shard Cards will be introduced at the beginning of each chapter. Each new season will add a brand-new map to enhance the gaming experience.
To celebrate the global launch, FragPunk is offering generous free bonuses, including Blue-and-White Porcelain skins for all 20 weapons, in-game currency, sticker packs, and charms. Log in now to claim over 130 rewards for free! Additionally, 1000 free lifetime Battle Passes will be given away in various launch celebration events.
FragPunk’s launch version includes over 150 Shard Cards, with more than 80 cards never shown in previous tests. Some new Shard Cards include:
- Dullahans: Allied heads become invulnerable flames.
- Infernal Hounds: A fiery hound follows you, attacking nearby enemies.
- Leader of the Dead: Spend your own HP to generate a bio-warrior.
Introducing Chum, a sentient, stone-carved robot with a fascination for organic life, particularly fish. Accompanied by his best friend, Chomper, Chum disrupts enemy formations by transforming Chomper into explosives or smoke bombs.
The new map, Dongtian, is set within a floating mountain palace inspired by oriental landscapes and architectures. It features magnificent sculptures, breathtaking scenery, and special mechanics that change the map structure, adding extra challenges for players.
To further celebrate the launch, the “FragPunk Card War: Craft Your Signature Card!” contest invites players worldwide to design their own Shard Cards. The best designs will be added to the game, with top designers receiving a $2,025 cash prize and the opportunity to have their idea made into a customized card.
