Get ready for an intergalactic brawl! Dotemu and Tribute Games, the creators of the critically acclaimed “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge,” have unveiled “MARVEL Cosmic Invasion,” an all-new co-op beat ’em up featuring a dream roster of Marvel superheroes. The game, revealed during the Nintendo Direct presentation, is set to launch on PC and consoles in 2025.
The announcement trailer, showcasing vibrant hand-drawn animation reminiscent of 90s Marvel comics, introduced the initial playable characters: Captain America, Wolverine, Spider-Man, Storm, Phyla-Vell, Venom, and Nova. These iconic heroes will unite to combat menacing enemies in classic side-scrolling brawls.
“MARVEL Cosmic Invasion” plunges players into a cosmic conflict as the villainous Annihilus launches a galaxy-wide assault. Heroes from Earth and beyond must join forces to thwart Annihilus’s annihilation wave, battling through locations ranging from the streets of New York City to the depths of the Negative Zone.
The game introduces the innovative Cosmic Swap system, allowing players to control a team of two characters and tag between them mid-fight. This mechanic encourages strategic team-ups and devastating combos, utilizing each character’s unique superpowers and special attacks. Players can unlock stellar powerups and rewards while exploring a variety of Marvel locales and facing iconic villains.
“MARVEL Cosmic Invasion” also emphasizes accessibility, offering features to cater to a wide range of players. The game supports four-player drop-in/drop-out local and online co-op with crossplay, ensuring everyone can join the cosmic brawl.
