HoYoverse has announced the release of Genshin Impact Version 5.6, titled “Paralogism,” set to launch on May 7. This exciting update introduces a new Archon Quest Interlude, an amusement park management event in Fontaine, and two new playable characters: Escoffier and Ifa.
New Archon Quest Interlude
In the latest Archon Quest Interlude, players return to Mondstadt during the Windblume Festival, only to face an unexpected trial that puts Albedo in the spotlight. Join forces with Venti, the Knights of Favonius, and new allies like Dahlia and Lady Alice from the Hexenzirkel to uncover the truth. As danger looms, players must undergo a magical trial to secure Lady Alice’s support and defend Mondstadt from invading monsters. This trial introduces a new Weekly Boss Challenge, featuring a dramatic battle on a mystical chessboard.
Manage an Amusement Park in Fontaine
A brand-new management gameplay event, The Chevalmarin Film Fantasyland, opens in Fontaine. Players will work alongside Navia and other familiar faces to run an amusement park. Manage three main attractions—Eclectic Escapades, Movie Masterpieces, and Mellow Manor—by upgrading facilities and improving Service Value. Recruit and train employees, and use Action Points wisely to maximize revenue and unlock rewards, including the exclusive 4-star bow, Sequence of Solitude.
Meet the New Characters
Escoffier: A 5-star Cryo polearm wielder and former head chef of Hotel Debord. Her combat style blends culinary flair with elemental power. Escoffier’s Elemental Skill summons the All-Spectrum Multi-Use Cooking Mek, which can absorb Elemental Attacks and prepare food items or serve continuous Cryo DMG. Her Elemental Burst heals allies and reduces enemies’ Hydro and Cryo RES.
Ifa: A 4-star Anemo catalyst user from Natlan’s Flower-Feather Clan. Ifa fights alongside his Qucusaurus companion, Cacucu, using Tonicshots to heal teammates and control the battlefield. In the Nightsoul’s Blessing state, Ifa boosts Swirl and Electro-Charged DMG based on the party’s Nightsoul Points. He can also automatically heal the active character when their HP falls below a certain threshold.
Event Wishes and More
In Version 5.6’s Event Wishes, Escoffier, Navia, and Ifa will be featured in the first phase, followed by Kinich and Raiden Shogun in the latter phase. The Chronicled Wish will also return, featuring various 5-star characters from Inazuma.
