MANILA – The opening day of the last week of the regular season of Mobile Legends Professional League Philippines (MPL PH) finally completed the playoffs cast as AP Bren, though already eliminated, mounted a reverse sweep against Smart Omega, ultimately eliminating the Barangay from playoffs contention.

Omega came out swinging in Game 1, with Andrew “Andoryuuu” Flora’s Joy running riot. He tallied eight kills and eight assists in a dominating 17-2 win, giving fans hope for a miracle run.

But AP Bren had other plans.

Despite having no stakes left in the season, AP Bren proved that they are not a team to be underestimated.

In Game 2, they turned the tide after reintroducing midlaner Jerry “chovskrt” Nicol into the starting lineup. Nicol’s Luo Yi was a game-changer, posting three kills and eight assists to lead the Hive to a 15-8 equalizer.

In a tightly contested Game 3, Smart Omega made a critical mistake contesting the Lord, which opened the floodgates. Andoryuuu was forced into retreat, and three of his teammates fell—leaving Omega’s base exposed.

Landher “Der” San Gabriel stepped up in the clutch, finishing with eight kills and four assists on X.Borg to seal the 22-minute game and eliminating Smart Omega from the Season 15 playoffs.

With Omega’s playoff dream officially crushed, Twisted Minds clinched the sixth and final playoff slot, regardless of their result against ONIC Philippines on Sunday.

In the other match-up of the opening day of the last week of MPL Philippines Season 15, Team Liquid PH kept their upper bracket dreams alive with a commanding 2-0 sweep over TNC Pro Team. The win moved Liquid PH to 7-5 and just one step away from securing a top-two finish.

Alston “Sanji” Pabico was surgical on Pharsa in Game 1, putting up three kills and nine assists while Jaypee “Jaypee” dela Cruz also shone on Gatotkaca, delivering a 6/2/8 stat line that overwhelmed TNC.

Game 2 was even more lopsided, as Sanford “Sanford” Vinuya’s Phoveus steamrolled to a 14-2 win in just 10 minutes, officially locking TNC into a fifth-place finish with a 5-9 record.
