The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League MY (MPL Malaysia) Season 15 is heating up, and the reigning champions, Selangor Red Giants OG Esports (SRG), are showing no signs of slowing down. With a dominant 2-0 sweep over TODAK on Seru Saturday, SRG extended their unbeaten streak to eight straight game wins, putting them just one more clean sweep away from clinching a coveted spot in the Playoffs and inching closer to the prestigious MPL Immortal Cup.
The victory came courtesy of a stunning performance by SRG’s Mid Laner, Hazziq “Stormie” Rizwan, who debuted a freshly revamped Kimmy in MPL Malaysia. Living up to his title as the “Mage Prodigy,” Stormie’s gameplay dazzled fans and earned him the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award.
But Stormie wasn’t the only one making headlines. SRG Roamer Muhammad “YumS” Suhairi reached a monumental milestone during the match — crossing the 2,000-assist mark in MPL Malaysia. His tally now stands at 2,006, making him the all-time leader in assists across league history, surpassing Team Vamos’ Xorn. The achievement was made even sweeter by the fact it came against his former team, TODAK, where he competed from Seasons 8 to 12.
Past Meets Future: SRG vs TODAK Showdown
The clash between SRG and TODAK was one of the most anticipated matchups of Week 3, as it featured the past and present Malaysian representatives for the International Esports Federation’s World Esports Championship (WEC).
While SRG captured the WEC 2024 title in Riyadh, they chose to forgo this year’s qualifiers to focus on their MPL campaign. That opened the door for TODAK to qualify for WEC 2025, but they failed to capitalize on the momentum, falling flat against the defending MPL champs.
Despite bolstering their roster with two new players from MPL Indonesia’s Alter Ego — Jungler Gilbert “Gebe” Arihta and Roamer Muhammad “Magma” Raffi Hakim — TODAK was unable to counter SRG’s relentless pace and synergy.
Playoff Race Tightens: Homebois and VMS Stay in the Hunt
Elsewhere in Week 3 action, Homebois (HB) maintained their own unbeaten record with a smooth 2-0 win over Team Rey (TR). The Season 12 champions have now won all four of their matches, conceding just one game so far. Much of their momentum comes from Gold Laner Adam “Melqt” Hamidun and Mid Laner Mohammad “Izanami” Irwandy Lim, who are both hitting peak form at a crucial point in the season.
Team Vamos (VMS) also made headlines with two critical 2-1 comeback victories, first against DX Soul (DXS) and later against Monster Vicious (MV). In particular, VMS Jungler Muhammad Nazhan “Chibi” Mohd Nor impressed on the agile hero Ling, dictating macro play and tempo to great effect.

Week 4 Preview: A Round-Robin Showdown of Giants
Week 4 is shaping up to be a “Royal Rumble” of MPL Malaysia titans. HB, TDK, and VMS will face off in a high-stakes mini round-robin that could drastically alter the Playoffs picture.
TODAK, currently sitting fifth with six points, will be eager to prove their WEC 2025 credentials after a lukewarm start. A win against the undefeated HB and a revenge match against VMS (who beat them during WEC qualifiers) could reignite their campaign.
Meanwhile, SRG will be looking to capitalize on the chaos. If their closest challengers cannibalize each other’s points, SRG could widen their lead at the top — but only if they maintain their flawless form.
