MANILA, Philippines–Fil-Indonesian team Xipto Esports demolished ZETA Division, 3-0, in the grand finals of the VCT Pacific Game Changers 2024, held offline at the True5G Pro Hub in Bangkok, Thailand.
Last year’s SMG members saw an undefeated Pacific run, going 2-0 in the group stages, defeating FENNEL and ZETA Division to be the top seed in Group A. While ZETA Division managed to bounce back with a win against BOBA to move to the playoffs.
In the other group, all Filipino squad sisu finished as second seed in Group B but saw themselves up against Xipto Esports in the semifinals. A tough match up which turned into a series, Xipto Esports had the bittersweet moment of eliminating their Filipino team to book their ticket to the Game Changers World Championship in Berlin.
ZETA Division also saw a 2-1 victory against South Korean Mir Gaming to set-up a rematch with the Pacific powerhouse who lived up to their reputation by sweeping ZETA Division, 3-0, in the one-sided grand finals.
