In a major shift from past formats, Mega Evolution Pokémon ex will no longer require evolving from a Mega Evolution step. Instead, they evolve directly from their original Pokémon (e.g., Mega Lucario ex evolves from Riolu, not Lucario), streamlining deck-building and strategy.
