Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Animated Series in the Works from Ne Zha 2 & Marvel VFX Team

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang

The Land of Dawn is coming to screens like never before. MOONTON Games has officially announced an upcoming premium animated series based on the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) universe—created in collaboration with two Hollywood powerhouses: The Little Black Book Studios and Base Media.

In a move set to expand one of the world’s most-played mobile MOBAs into the world of film and television, the animated project brings together a dream team of creative forces, including the award-winning visual effects studio behind Ne Zha 2, Marvel’s Daredevil (Disney+), and even projects with Industrial Light & Magic.

🎬 From the Land of Dawn to the Big Screen

With more than 1.5 billion global players, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang has already conquered the gaming world. Now, MOONTON Games is betting big on its narrative universe with an animated series that promises to bring its beloved characters, rich lore, and epic landscapes to life.

“It’s been an exciting journey working with the MOONTON Games team,” said Chris Bremble, Founder and CEO of Base Studios. “Being able to work as a team to bring MLBB to a new audience is the kind of challenge we’re always looking to meet.”

Bremble’s Base Media, known for visual effects work on blockbuster franchises, is tasked with reimagining the Land of Dawn in high-quality cinematic animation. Their recent work on Ne Zha 2 and Marvel’s reboot of Daredevil proves their pedigree in the space.

🛠️ Big Vision, Bigger Worldbuilding

The animated series is being produced by The Little Black Book Studios (TLBBS) in collaboration with Base Media. According to Leo Ross, Co-Founder of TLBBS, the project represents their studio’s most ambitious challenge yet.

“We are taking a huge and popular game and translating that into an animation that will bring the MLBB world to life,” Ross shared. “We can’t wait to provide a series that will not only delight MLBB gamers, but also animation fans who love storytelling, adventure, and world-building.”

He emphasized the long-term commitment of this partnership with MOONTON, calling the combination of a “strong IP with a huge fan base” and a “top-tier animation studio” a perfect match.

🌍 Expanding the MLBB Universe

For MOONTON Games, the series marks a bold step into multimedia entertainment. While MLBB has previously told its stories through in-game events and cinematics, this marks the first time the universe is being adapted for an episodic animated format.

“This collaboration is a step out of our comfort zone,” said Cherry Xia, Head of Publishing at MOONTON Games. “We are excited to unite TLBBS’s creative vision and Base Media’s animation pedigree—to offer fans of MLBB and animation alike a novel way to enjoy our world-famous franchise.”

The animated series is just the beginning. MOONTON confirms that the partnership will also include a full-fledged marketing campaign, including a dedicated merchandise line tied to the show’s release.

📺 What’s Next?

While the series title, release date, and publishing platforms are yet to be revealed, fans can expect more updates soon. With the combined firepower of MOONTON Games, The Little Black Book Studios, and Base Media, this project is shaping up to be one of the most exciting game-to-screen adaptations in years.
