The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are back—and this time, they’re fighting smarter. TMNT: Tactical Takedown, the turn-based beat-’em-up from acclaimed indie studio Strange Scaffold (I Am Your Beast, CLICKOLDING), is out now for Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch in North America. A European Switch launch is coming soon.
Alongside the console debut, Remix Mode—a free update adding more enemies, higher difficulty, and expanded customization—arrives today on Steam for PC players and is included in the console versions from day one.
Tactical Turtles in a Gritty New Era
Tactical Takedown reimagines the TMNT universe as a strategy-driven brawler. Set in a darker timeline where Splinter and Shredder are gone and the Turtles face adulthood, the game unfolds over 20 evolving levels packed with Foot Clan battles and classic foes.
Players can:
- Command Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelo with unique movesets
- Utilize drone-powered assist moves for creative combat strategies
- Unlock new skills and tweak loadouts to master each stage
- Experience a vibrant diorama-style world backed by a high-energy soundtrack from award-winning composer RJ Lake (Unbeatable, I Am Your Beast)
Remix Mode: Double the Danger
Included free with all console versions and available today for PC, Remix Mode shakes up the fight with:
- More enemies: Over double the opponent types, each with unique attacks
- Increased difficulty: Tougher encounters that demand fresh strategies
- Expanded build crafting: Fine-tune your Turtle’s abilities for maximum impact
This mode challenges veterans to rethink their tactics while rewarding creative playstyles.
