Canadian indie studio BancyCo has officially announced that its vibrant, over-the-top paramedic action game, Neo Harbor Rescue Squad, will launch on Nintendo Switch™ in early 2026. The reveal was made during Gamescom 2025, where attendees at the Indie Arena Booth got hands-on with the latest demo.
Blending the frantic fun of medical-themed classics from the Wii and DS era with modern, fast-paced minigames, Neo Harbor Rescue Squad is tailor-made for the Joy-Con™ experience. Players will be thrown into chaotic emergencies across Neo Harbor City, juggling triage decisions, patient care, and the pressure of the ticking clock.
Saving Lives at Gamescom 2025
Selected for the Indie Arena Booth, the game drew plenty of attention in Hall 10.2 at Koelnmesse GmbH, where attendees had the chance to test their paramedic reflexes.
Adding to the celebration, the game’s upbeat main theme was chosen for the official Indie Arena Booth soundtrack vinyl, produced in collaboration with Black Screen Records. The exclusive record is available at Hall 5.1 / A043 during Gamescom.
What Is Neo Harbor Rescue Squad?
In Neo Harbor Rescue Squad, players step into the shoes of a rookie paramedic determined to prove the squad’s worth against Neo Harbor City’s famed Fire Department. You’ll respond to high-stakes emergencies, stabilize difficult patients, and outwit rival reporter Betty Woo, who’s eager to tarnish your team’s reputation.

Co-Founder Nancy Yeung drew heavily from her hometown of Hong Kong for Neo Harbor’s bustling backdrops. The game’s stories are inspired by accounts from real emergency workers, but amplified into a dramatic, fast-paced adventure filled with humor, heart, and even a smarmy talking dolphin.
