Veteran midlaner Arvie “Aqua” Antonio marked his MPL PH return with a win as AP Bren survived Smart Omega, 2-1, to start their season 16 campaign on a high note.
Twisted Minds, fueled by last season’s MDL champions ONIC x Nine Lives’ players, pulled off an upset by sweeping Team Falcons, 2-0 to also begin their season 16 campaign on a high note.
In the week’s starmatch, the battle of the champions saw ONIC Philippines enact their revenge against Team Liquid Philippines, sweeping the Cavalry, 2-0 to open their Season 16 run.
Week 1 of MPL PH Season 16 concludes with AP Bren vs Twisted Minds at 5pm then Team Liquid Philippines vs TNC at 7pm.
