SINGAPORE – Bandai Namco Entertainment Asia today announced DEATH NOTE Killer Within, the first-ever social deduction game based on the legendary anime series. The game will be available on 5 November 2024, exclusively for PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4 (purchasable independently or as part of the PS+ subscription), and on 6 November 2024 for PC via Steam®. A new trailer offering a sneak peek of the game has also been released.
DEATH NOTE Killer Within is an online social deduction game with cross-play support, where up to 10 players face a choice between life and death. Split into 2 teams, players must uncover each other’s identities to eliminate L or seize the Death Note from Kira. Kira and L are equally matched, each hiding their true identity while battling for control over the game. Engage in a game of wits either as Kira and his follower, or L and the investigators, as both sides vie for the hidden Death Note, leading to a thrilling showdown of truth and deception until one team prevails.
In DEATH NOTE Killer Within, players can assume one of four roles – Kira, Kira Follower, L, or Investigator – each offering unique gameplay characteristics. With each assigned role, players can develop a wide range of strategies, as randomised scenarios evolve into high-stakes games. Additionally, players can customise their nameplates, in-game avatars with up to seven types of accessories, and special effects displayed during key gameplay moments.
