Netmarble has officially launched The King of Fighters AFK worldwide on Android and iOS, bringing the legendary fighting franchise to a whole new genre. Fans of the classic SNK series can now collect, train, and battle with their favorite fighters in an all-new AFK RPG experience featuring retro-style pixel graphics, strategic team-building, and generous launch rewards.
Classic Fighters, Pixel Style
Based on SNK’s iconic The King of Fighters IP, The King of Fighters AFK reimagines beloved characters in a nostalgic pixel-art style reminiscent of The King of Fighters R-2 on the NEOGEO Pocket Color. Players can assemble a dream team of fighters, form strategic lineups, and engage in 5v5 team battles that emphasize deck-building and tactical decision-making.
At launch, players will be able to collect and train 114 fighters, including 36 Legendary-grade characters, along with pets and supporters to strengthen their teams. With up to 12,600 stages, 10 dungeon types, and 10 growth systems, the game offers plenty of content to explore, with more on the way through live service updates.
Launch Events and Rewards
To celebrate the global launch, Netmarble has rolled out a series of in-game events offering valuable bonuses:
- 7-Day Check-In Event – Log in daily to receive rewards, including a Legendary Fighter Summon Ticket on the 7th day.
- Kyo Kusanagi Pick-Up Event – A higher chance to recruit Kyo Kusanagi in his KOF ’99 style.
- Fury Synergy Pick-Up Summon – Until September 17, players will enjoy boosted rates for summoning fighters with the [Fury] synergy.
- Additional events will provide opportunities to obtain pets, supporters, and other rewards.
Early adopters will also receive up to 3,000 Summoning Tokens and 210,000 Rubies simply by playing.
