The stage is set for one of the biggest esports events of the year as the Honor of Kings Major East League (KME) and Major West League (KMW) officially begin this week, uniting 14 elite international teams in a high-stakes battle for global dominance and qualification to the prestigious Honor of Kings International Championship (KIC).
These new leagues mark a major step in the global expansion of Honor of Kings esports, offering top players the chance to prove themselves on an international platform while chasing a share of the $50,000 prize pool per league. More importantly, the top teams will secure their golden tickets to the KIC, the ultimate tournament in the Honor of Kings competitive calendar.
Two Leagues, One Global Stage
The KME and KMW bring together powerhouse squads from across Asia, Europe, the Americas, and the Middle East:
- Honor of Kings Major East League (KME) – Featuring Nongshim RedForce (South Korea), Crazy Raccoon (Japan), Gen.G Esports (MENA), R8 Esports (MENA), SCARZ (Japan), CMF Esports (South Asia), and Astar Esports (MENA).
- Honor of Kings Major West League (KMW) – Featuring OG Esports (Western Europe), 9z Globant (Latin America), Boars Gaming (Eastern Europe), BloodThirstyKings (North America), AYLO Gaming (Latin America), Twisted Mind (Western Europe), and Level Max Club (North America).
With fan-favorite teams representing diverse regions, both leagues promise thrilling clashes as players fight for recognition and survival on the road to the KIC.
Tournament Format: The Road to KIC
Both KME and KMW will unfold in three intense stages:
- Week 1 – Group Stage: Ranking Week (BO3, Single Round Robin)
- Top 3 teams advance to Group S
- Bottom 4 teams advance to Group A
- Week 2 – Group Stage: Survival Week (BO5, Double Round Robin)
- Rankings determine which teams qualify for the Knockout Stage
- Week 3 – Knockout Stage & Last Call
- Double Elimination (BO5), with Finals played in BO7
- Last Call: Runners-up from KME and KMW face the WKS champion for one final KIC slot
The KME will run September 11–27, while the KMW takes place September 12–28 in Kuala Lumpur. Champions of each league will directly secure their spots at the KIC, making every match a must-watch.
Brazil Championship Heats Up
Meanwhile, the Honor of Kings Brazil Championship (CHOKBR), which kicked off on September 5 in São Paulo, is already in full swing. With 8 teams competing for a $22,000 prize pool, only the top 2 teams will earn their chance at the KIC.
Invited teams include Loops, Alpha 7, Influence Rage, and Lobos Famintos, while the qualifier slots are filled by Sdds Jamisa, Carteira de Trabalho Digital, Domingo a Noite Inova, and yuStar.
The format includes a Group Stage (BO3, Single Round Robin) leading into a Playoff phase that combines single and double elimination, with the Grand Final set as a BO7 showdown.
