Reverse: 1999 Celebrates 2nd Anniversary with Version 2.8 Paradise Regained Update

Bluepoch Games has unveiled the highly anticipated 2nd Anniversary update for Reverse: 1999, arriving on September 19, with the launch of Version 2.8 – Paradise Regained. During a special livestream featuring charming L2D chibi models of beloved characters, the studio revealed new content, major rewards, limited characters, and fresh gameplay modes that will define the next chapter of the hit time-travel RPG.

New Characters Arrive – Nautika, Urich, and Moldir

At the heart of the anniversary update is Nautika, a powerful new 6-star limited character available through the “The Myth at Her Fingertips” banner. Nautika, an archaeomythologist with two unique forms, introduces dynamic skill variations depending on her stance.

Players will also receive Urich, a free 6-star character, simply by logging in during the event. Known from Version 1.9’s storyline, Urich is the enigmatic leader of the Laplace cryptography team and a ferrofluid awakened in a glass tank.

Later in Phase 2 of Version 2.8, Moldir, a 6-star character from the “From the Ruin of the Past” banner, will join the roster. A steadfast lieutenant of the Zeno Sentinel Unit, Moldir’s story blends duty, loyalty, and inner conflict.

Alongside characters and rewards, the anniversary update introduces brand-new gameplay systems:

Pre-Storm Protocol – A survival and exploration mode running from September 19 to October 30, 2025, where players take on Ulrich’s role in a simulation experiment. Strategic exploration, resource management, and combat against enemies under “Storm Syndrome” deliver high-stakes rewards including the new 6-star Psychube A Tingle of a Thought and exclusive portraits.
Critter Crash Update – Adds a volcanic habitat, new stickers, and fresh team-building challenges.
Euphoria System Expansion – Available for Lucy, Semmelweis, Jessica, and Regulus.
Garment Display System – A new museum-like collection mode featuring the stories behind each garment series.

Multiple events will also roll out throughout the season, including “When the Alarm Sounds,” “Reveries in the Rain,” and the highly anticipated “Anecode of Kanjira.”
