Clean Up Earth Demo Launches September 18 Ahead of World Cleanup Day

Clean Up Earth

Indie developer Magic Pockets is ready to give players their first taste of Clean Up Earth, a cozy and eco-conscious first-person cleaning simulator. A PC demo launches on September 18, just in time to celebrate World Cleanup Day, letting players restore polluted environments solo or with up to six friends in online co-op.

A Relaxing Way to Make a Difference

In Clean Up Earth, players wield the Terra Cleaner, a futuristic, customizable tool designed to rejuvenate landscapes scarred by pollution. From tranquil mountain ranges to tropical beaches, every environment offers new challenges to overcome. The Terra Cleaner isn’t just for sweeping up debris—it can also repair damaged equipment and structures, unlocking new areas to explore and restore.

The demo will allow players to explore a few hand-picked maps and experience the game’s core loop: clean, restore, upgrade, and discover. As progress is made, new modules and upgrades become available, letting players take on tougher tasks and larger zones.

Play Solo or With Friends

Clean Up Earth supports both single-player and multiplayer experiences. Smaller maps are designed for 2–8 players, while future updates will expand the scale, introducing massive cooperative maps for 30+ players. This flexibility allows players to enjoy the game as a relaxing solo journey or a collaborative community effort.

Magic Pockets has also launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund additional content, including new maps, gameplay mechanics, and community-driven features.

More Than Just a Game

Studio President Eric Zmiro described the project as both entertainment and inspiration:

“Clean Up Earth is our first original IP since the studio’s founding in 2001, and we hope it can be more than just a game. We want players to help shape its future, not only by supporting new features but by spreading awareness of the small, everyday actions we can all take to preserve our planet. Our goal is to inspire players to see the positive change they can make, and we’re exploring ways the game can have a real-world impact through partnerships and play.”

Looking Ahead

Clean Up Earth is set to fully launch on PC (Steam and Epic Games Store) in Q1 2026, with console releases to follow pending the success of the Kickstarter campaign. Players eager to be part of the project’s development can register now for updates via the official Kickstarter page.
