The PUBG Mobile Philippines community has proven once again that gaming goes beyond the screen. In the wake of the magnitude 6.9 earthquake that struck Cebu on September 30, players, streamers, and fans united to bring much-needed aid to affected families through the #NinongPUBGMCares – Stream For a Cause initiative.

Gaming for a Greater Cause

Running across three days, the charity event rallied 12 online personalities and streamers, who brought their communities together to raise support and gather resources. Thanks to the overwhelming response from players and fans, substantial in-kind donations were sent to heavily affected areas in San Remigio and Cebu City.

The relief drive successfully delivered:

  • 1,000 cans of sardines
  • 1,000 cans of meatloaf
  • 1,000 packs of instant noodles
  • 500 five-liter bottles of water
  • 40 sacks of rice (25kg each)

This effort provided vital sustenance to families in Cebu who continue to recover from the devastating quake.

Community Impact

The initiative highlights how online communities can mobilize for real-world impact. The PUBG Mobile Philippines team expressed gratitude, saying:

“We’re very grateful to the PUBG Mobile community for making the stream for a cause a success. Thank you to all our inaanaks who donated their time and resources. Your support for the game and your favorite content creators helped ensure that our kababayans in Cebu receive the aid they need.”

More Than a Game

PUBG Mobile has long been one of the most active gaming communities in the Philippines, and this relief drive is a testament to its ability to inspire solidarity in times of crisis. With thousands of fans rallying behind their favorite streamers, the campaign proved that esports and gaming can be powerful platforms for humanitarian action.
