PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS Brings Skibidi Toilet Chaos in Halloween Update 38.1

PUBG

KRAFTON, Inc. is kicking off spooky season with a bang — and a flush! The latest PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS Update 38.1 has officially dropped on PC, with the console version arriving October 23. This October patch brings a wild and unexpected Halloween crossover with the viral Skibidi Toilet franchise, a new Contender character, and a host of gameplay and gunplay upgrades designed to keep the Battlegrounds feeling fresh.

A Wild Halloween Crossover: PUBG Meets Skibidi Toilet

Yes, you read that right — the Skibidi Toilets have invaded the Battlegrounds! In this limited-time PvE Arcade mode, players will face off against waves of bizarre Toilet bosses in 4-player squads across Miramar.

Each victory earns players Chemical Cans, which can be used to upgrade loadouts for the next match. To sweeten the deal, there’s also a special Event Pass: Skibidi Toilet packed with themed rewards to unlock.

The event runs:

  • PC: October 22 – November 5
  • Console: October 30 – November 13

This collaboration marks one of PUBG’s most unexpected (and meme-worthy) crossovers yet — perfect for Halloween’s blend of horror and absurdity.

Meet “Dorian,” the New Contender

Following the introduction of PUBG’s Contender system earlier this year, Update 38.1 adds a new playable face to the roster: Dorian — a heavy-metal guitarist who views the Battlegrounds as the ultimate stage for his chaotic symphony.

Players can unlock and upgrade Dorian through the Workshop, customizing everything from emotes and kill effects to Dive Trails and appearances. Whether you’re shredding riffs or rivals, Dorian adds a rockstar edge to your next drop.

Gunplay, Vehicles, and System Tweaks

Beyond the big crossover event, Update 38.1 introduces several core gameplay improvements that sharpen PUBG’s combat flow and balance:

  • Gunplay Changes: Reduced SMG hip-fire accuracy, plus fine-tuned MP5K and Panzerfaust balance.
  • Vehicle Adjustments: Lower passenger damage makes rides safer under fire.
  • Map Update: Destructible terrain has been added to Miramar, opening up new tactical possibilities.
  • Recall System Updates: Fine-tuned to maintain fairness during late-game skirmishes.

These updates continue KRAFTON’s mission to refine PUBG’s mechanics for both casual players and veterans looking for competitive depth.

More Than Just Battle Royale

Since its 2017 debut, PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS has evolved far beyond its roots, consistently introducing creative crossovers and new systems that keep gameplay exciting. The Skibidi Toilet collaboration highlights PUBG’s willingness to experiment with pop culture while maintaining its core tactical survival DNA.
