Netmarble, the global developer behind several high-quality mobile and PC experiences, dropped major news for its upcoming title, MONGIL: STAR DIVE, at G-STAR 2025 last week (November 14, 2025).
The sequel to the beloved 2013 Monster Taming franchise, MONGIL: STAR DIVE is already turning heads with its gorgeous Unreal Engine 5-powered visuals and dynamic tag-team combat. The star of the G-STAR reveal, however, was Sura, a massive new region infused with rich Korean mythology and cultural essence.
Sura is where the main story continues, following the journey of the 9th Brigade (featuring Esther, Flare, and Reina). It promises to be a vibrant and diverse setting centered around the village of Naksan, a place where humans, dokkaebi (Korean goblins), and various demi-human races coexist.

Netmarble also shared positive news regarding the game’s improvement roadmap based on findings from the global Closed Beta Test (CBT). A recent developer commentary video detailed several player-focused adjustments aimed at enhancing accessibility and progression:
