HoYoverse is turning up the spotlight in Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.6, as the long-awaited idol group Angels of Delusion finally makes its in-game debut. Titled “Encore for an Old Dream,” the new update launches on February 6, 2026, and serves as a story-rich interlude following the climax of Season 2.
Set against the glowing celebrations of Gilded Carrot Day, Version 2.6 brings Proxies back to Sixth Street for a mix of music, mystery, and high-stakes action—introducing new agents, events, gameplay modes, and generous rewards.
A Dreamlike Return to Sixth Street for Gilded Carrot Day
As New Eridu prepares for its annual Gilded Carrot Day festivities, the city comes alive with vibrant lights, music, and celebration. However, beneath the cheerful atmosphere, danger still lurks. The Phaethon siblings are pulled into a high-priority commission involving an illegal intelligent entity, reuniting them with Jane Doe and drawing players deeper into Sixth Street’s unfolding story.
At the heart of the celebration is the iconic 404 Error music venue, where the Angels of Delusion are preparing for their first-ever live performance under the watchful eye of a mysterious vocal coach. Even with Hollows looming nearby, dreams persist—and New Eridu presses on.
Meet the Angels of Delusion: New Idol Agents in Version 2.6
The debut of Angels of Delusion is the centerpiece of Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.6, introducing two powerful new playable agents with unique combat identities.
Sunna – S-Rank Physical Support Agent
Sunna specializes in empowering both Attack and Anomaly teammates. Her companion Bubblegum marks enemies with Cat’s Gaze, which can be detonated for damage while granting team-wide Attack buffs. Her Ultimate delivers a heavy hammer strike and activates a Quick Assist, seamlessly rotating allies into combat.
Aria – Ether Anomaly Agent
As the group’s lead vocalist, Aria brings explosive damage and style to the battlefield. She features two combat forms—a construct form and an idol projection—allowing her to unleash devastating charged attacks against enemies afflicted with Attribute Anomalies. Aria excels at aggressive, front-line engagements.
Supporting the group is Bangboo Biggest Fan, the Angels of Delusion fan club president. This Bangboo steadily restores HP and boosts squad Attack when at least two Angels of Delusion members are deployed.
Both Sunna and Aria will also receive brand-new outfits in Version 2.6, with Aria’s costume showcasing a unique dual-form design. Meanwhile, Yixuan and Yuzuha return via rerun banners for players looking to strengthen their squads.
“A Harmony of Delusions” Event Takes Center Stage
The flagship event of Version 2.6, “A Harmony of Delusions,” puts Proxies behind the scenes as staff members supporting the Angels of Delusion’s rise to stardom. Players will manage training schedules, handle social media tasks, and guide the group’s success through rhythm-based gameplay.
The event also expands the Marcel Adventure with new maps and mechanics, blending idol management with exploration and action in classic Zenless Zone Zero fashion.
New Hollow Zero Mode and Quality-of-Life Updates
Beyond the festivities, Version 2.6 introduces Operation Matrix, a new Hollow Zero game mode featuring weekly rotating themed stages and unique mechanics. Teams will consist of three Primary agents, one Bangboo, and one Auxiliary agent, with new Resonia and agent-specific Gears adding deeper strategic options.
A new Sweep function has also been added to Hollow Zero, streamlining progression and making exploration more efficient for returning and veteran Proxies.
Gilded Carrot Day Rewards and Massive Polychrome Events
Version 2.6 comes packed with rewards and optimizations. Lycaon and Harumasa receive enhancements, while Pan Yinhu gets a brand-new outfit available through a limited-time event.
To celebrate Gilded Carrot Day, players can participate in a special Inter-Knot Membership event, earning Polychrome through daily activities, including a total of 3,300 Polychromes from login rewards.
From February 14 to February 23, the event “Gilded Surprise, Wonderful Boo-ns” will offer daily lucky draws, giving players a chance to share in a massive 4 billion Polychrome prize pool.
Global Fan Support Campaign Celebrates the Idol Debut
To mark the debut of Angels of Delusion, HoYoverse is launching a global fan initiative titled “Sugar Rush: Cuteness Saves the World.” The campaign includes worldwide collaborations, offline events, and themed activities, along with exclusive merchandise such as towels, light sticks, and T-shirts for devoted fans.
