Honor of Kings

Honor of Kings Invitational Season 4 (KIS4) is set to make history as it opens the 2026 global esports calendar with a culturally rich Grand Finals event in Jakarta, Indonesia, on February 8, 2026. Hosted at the GBK Basketball Hall, KIS4 blends world-class esports competition with Indonesia’s cultural heritage through Wayang-inspired performances, traditional dance, and a special half-time show headlined by Indonesian music icon Afgan.

As the first global Honor of Kings esports tournament of the year, KIS4 places Southeast Asia—particularly Indonesia—firmly at the center of the international competitive gaming spotlight.

Honor of Kings and the Indonesian National Museum Unite Through Wayang Kulit

Ahead of the Grand Finals, Honor of Kings showcased its commitment to cultural celebration through a special collaboration with the Indonesian National Museum. From January 29 to February 1, fans and visitors were treated to an exclusive exhibition featuring the Wukong skin “Anoman”, inspired by the traditional Wayang Kulit art form.

The exhibition offered an immersive experience combining heritage and digital innovation, including Wayang displays and ImersifA, highlighting the fusion of traditional storytelling and modern visual art. The event was attended by Giring Ganesha, Vice Minister of Culture of Indonesia, underscoring the cultural importance of the collaboration.

A Landmark KIS4 Opening Ceremony Rooted in Indonesian Heritage

The KIS4 Opening Ceremony on February 8 will present a carefully curated cultural program that reflects Indonesia’s identity while welcoming the global Honor of Kings community.

The ceremony will begin with a special address from Dean Huang, Game Producer of Honor of Kings at TiMi Studio Group, followed by official remarks from PBESI (Esports Federation of Indonesia) and Giring Ganesha, Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Indonesia. These appearances highlight esports’ growing role within Indonesia’s creative and cultural ecosystem.

The program will then transition into a large-scale cultural showcase featuring:

  • A modern reinterpretation of Wayang-inspired storytelling
  • A powerful Kecak Dance performance
  • A live performance of the official KIS4 theme song by Mukarakat and Indahkus

In a symbolic moment, an Anoman Wukong cosplay will ceremonially carry the KIS4 trophy onto the stage, followed by the official team walk-ins that signal the start of the Grand Finals.

Afgan to Headline the KIS4 Half-Time Show

Adding star power to the finals, Afgan, one of Indonesia’s most celebrated musicians, will headline a special KIS4 half-time show. Known for his powerful vocals and chart-topping hits, Afgan will perform three fan-favorite songs:

  • Panah Asmara
  • Sampai Jumpa

The performance is designed to electrify the live audience while captivating viewers watching around the world, transforming the KIS4 Finals into a full entertainment spectacle.
