Asia-Pacific Industry Spotlight Shines Through B2B Zone and Game Summit

During the first two days, the B2B Zone and Asia Pacific Game Summit highlighted Taipei’s growing influence as a regional industry hub. With an expanded B2B exhibition area, the event welcomed more than 2,100 business professionals from 43 countries, generating nearly 2,500 business matchmaking meetings over two intensive days.

Meeting rooms remained fully booked throughout the show, while networking sessions continued from morning until evening, underscoring the high level of international engagement and commercial activity at Taipei Game Show 2026.

Asia Pacific Game Summit Delivers Insight on the Future of Gaming

The Asia Pacific Game Summit featured 26 sessions across two dedicated stages, the Main Stage and AI Stage, both of which were filled to capacity throughout the event. Speakers from Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, Canada, and China explored six major themes shaping the future of the industry, including game development, indie games, operations and marketing, payment solutions, generative AI, and emerging technologies.

Interactive Q&A segments encouraged direct dialogue between speakers and attendees, fostering fresh perspectives and deeper discussions. Beyond the sessions, offstage networking further strengthened the summit’s role as a key platform for collaboration and thought leadership in the Asia-Pacific gaming industry.

B2B Zone and Indie Game Area Drive Global Collaboration

The expanded B2B Zone solidified Taipei Game Show’s standing as a premier networking hub. Publishers, developers, and service providers engaged in multilingual discussions, exploring cross-border partnerships and licensing opportunities at an unprecedented pace.

Meanwhile, the Indie Game Area emerged as a major highlight, with international publishers actively scouting new titles. Indie developers exchanged insights on development and marketing while forging connections that could shape future releases, reinforcing the show’s commitment to supporting emerging talent.

Fan Events Sell Out Fast as Blockbuster Titles Take Center Stage

The final day of Taipei Game Show 2026 saw large crowds arrive early, with families and fans filling the venue well into the Late Bird Ticket session. Exhibitors celebrated the finale with special activities and generous prize giveaways, sending attendees home on a high note.

One of the biggest highlights was the Monster Hunter Wilds Taiwan Championship, co-hosted by CAPCOM and JUSTDAN. The intense finals unfolded on stage as Monster Hunter Forever successfully defended its title, witnessed by Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto and Director Yuya Tokuda.

Major Game Showcases and Celebrity Appearances Draw Massive Attention

Several blockbuster showcases captivated fans throughout the venue. Bandai Namco Entertainment Taiwan recreated the iconic Erdtree from Elden Ring, attracting crowds eager to capture photos. The long-awaited launch of CODE VEIN II thrilled visitors, with Director Hiroshi Yoshimura and Producer Keita Iizuka appearing on stage to connect directly with fans.

Limited-time interactions proved especially popular. Azur Lane offered just 30 daily one-on-one sessions with cosplayers, all of which sold out almost instantly. BROWNDUST2 impressed with a hot spring kingdom theme featuring cosplayers from Taiwan and South Korea, while Snowbreak: Containment Zone, making its Taiwan debut, nearly sold out its venue-exclusive merchandise.

Newcomer STARSAVIOR introduced a brand-new character, Laxi, generating strong buzz, while Arknights: Endfield combined a live DJ performance with a cosplayer showcase. Wuthering Waves delighted fans with an appearance by a mascot version of the beloved character Bu Bu, keeping cameras flashing across the show floor.

A star-studded lineup joined players on stage, creating a festive and interactive atmosphere that capped off the event in style.

Indie House and Board Game Wonderland Steal the Spotlight

Sponsored exclusively by Smilegate | STOVE, the Indie House section reached unprecedented popularity. Beyond the steady on-site crowds, social media buzz surged throughout the event. A themed feedback wall collected over 1,000 handwritten messages, with developers rushing to preserve these heartfelt notes as the show concluded.

The Board Game Wonderland area was equally lively, with record sales driven by final-day discounts. Public play areas were filled to capacity as friends, families, and children shared moments of strategy, laughter, and connection, adding a warm, communal energy to the show.
