Rainbow Six Mobile

The wait is over. Ubisoft has officially launched Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Mobile worldwide, bringing the iconic tactical shooter franchise to Android and iOS devices for players across the globe.

After months of anticipation, mobile gamers can now experience the high-stakes tension, strategic depth, and competitive intensity that made Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege a global phenomenon — fully optimized for gaming on the go.

Rainbow Six Mobile Now Available Worldwide

As of February 23, 2026, Rainbow Six Mobile is officially live worldwide as a free-to-play tactical first-person shooter. Developed by Ubisoft Montreal with support from multiple co-development studios, the game delivers a mobile-first adaptation of the Rainbow Six formula.

Players can download and jump into 5v5 Player-versus-Player (PvP) matches, centered around the franchise’s core Attack vs. Defense format.

Attackers vs. Defenders — Tactical Gameplay Intact

Rainbow Six Mobile stays true to the franchise’s DNA:

  • Attackers deploy observation drones for intel gathering
  • Destructible walls, floors, and ceilings enable strategic breaches
  • Defenders barricade entry points and set traps
  • Spy cameras and gadgets create layered defensive setups

Strategy, teamwork, and split-second decisions remain at the heart of the experience, ensuring longtime Siege fans will feel right at home — even on a touchscreen.

Game Modes Available at Launch

At launch, Rainbow Six Mobile features multiple competitive modes:

  • Bomb
  • Bomb Rush
  • Team Deathmatch
  • Ranked Matches
  • Quick Play
  • Private Matches

An onboarding tutorial introduces players to key Rainbow Six fundamentals, making it accessible for newcomers while preserving tactical complexity.

Over 20 Operators and Iconic Maps

Rainbow Six Mobile launches with more than 20 Operators, including fan favorites like:

  • Ash
  • Mute
  • Dokkaebi

Players can also battle across iconic maps adapted from Siege:

  • Bank
  • Border
  • Clubhouse
  • Oregon
  • Villa

In addition, Restaurant and Summit debut as mobile-exclusive maps designed specifically for handheld play.

Ubisoft has confirmed that new seasonal content will continue to expand the game post-launch.

Operation Sand Wraith: Rainbow Six Mobile’s First Global Season

Coinciding with its worldwide release, Rainbow Six Mobile kicks off its first global season: Operation Sand Wraith.

This desert-themed season introduces:

  • A new atmosphere and visual style
  • Fresh content updates
  • A brand-new Operator: Deimos

Deimos is designed as a precise and methodical hunter. His unique DeathMARK Tracker ability allows him to lock onto a single enemy, forcing a tense one-on-one duel until one operator is eliminated. The mechanic introduces a new psychological layer to competitive matches, raising the stakes in every engagement.

Operation Sand Wraith sets the tone for Rainbow Six Mobile’s seasonal roadmap and signals Ubisoft’s long-term commitment to live service support.

A Decade of Rainbow Six Siege Momentum

The mobile launch builds on the immense success of Rainbow Six Siege, which has surpassed 80 million registered players globally. In 2025, Siege celebrated its 10-year anniversary with the major update Siege X, introducing:

  • A permanent 6v6 Dual Front mode
  • Modernized maps
  • Visual and audio upgrades
  • Expanded gameplay features

Rainbow Six Mobile extends this legacy, ensuring the franchise continues to evolve across platforms.

Ubisoft’s Expanding Mobile Strategy

For Ubisoft, the global launch of Rainbow Six Mobile represents another major step into the competitive mobile FPS market. With brands like Assassin’s Creed, The Division, and Ghost Recon already well established, bringing Rainbow Six to mobile further strengthens the publisher’s cross-platform ecosystem.

By adapting a deeply tactical PC and console shooter into a mobile-first experience without sacrificing strategic depth, Ubisoft is positioning Rainbow Six Mobile as a serious contender in the mobile esports and competitive shooter space.
