Valor of Man

A brand-new high fantasy RPG has officially arrived on PC. Tactical roguelite title Valor of Man is now available via Steam, bringing a blend of turn-based CRPG combat and roguelite progression designed for players who love deep strategy and high replay value.

Developed by Legacy Forge and published by Numskull Games, the full 1.0 launch introduces new gameplay systems alongside the game’s already robust tactical foundation.

Valor of Man Officially Launches on PC via Steam

The 1.0 version of Valor of Man is now live on PC, giving strategy RPG fans a fresh experience inspired by classic tabletop mechanics and modern roguelite design.

The game focuses heavily on strategic decision-making, encouraging players to build a team, plan carefully, and adapt their strategy during every run. With full controller support and Steam Deck compatibility available at launch, the game is also designed to be flexible whether you’re playing at your desk or on the go.

Chaos Mode and Masteries Bring More Replay Value

One of the biggest highlights of the full release of Valor of Man is the introduction of two major new systems: Chaos Mode and Masteries.

Chaos Mode allows players to customize their difficulty using unlockable modifiers. This means players can either create an extremely challenging experience or tweak the game to make it more accessible depending on their playstyle.

Meanwhile, the Masteries system tracks long-term progress by recording which abilities, items, conditions, and artifacts players have successfully completed a run with. This adds a strong sense of progression even after multiple playthroughs, reinforcing the roguelite structure.

Tactical Combat and Deep Class Customization

At its core, Valor of Man is all about strategy. Players build a party of four heroes, choosing from a roster of 12 different classes ranging from classic fantasy archetypes to darker, more brutal roles.

The depth doesn’t stop there. The game features:

  • Over 300 abilities
  • Nearly 300 items
  • More than 170 artifacts
  • Over 750 combined combat options

Every run can play out differently depending on the combinations you build, the enemies you face, and how effectively you manage team synergy.

Boss Battles That Reward Skill and Strategy

Players looking for a real challenge will find plenty to test their tactical skills in Valor of Man. Powerful bosses require careful positioning, understanding of enemy patterns, and a strong team composition.

The game includes ten escalating difficulty levels, making it suitable for both newcomers and hardcore tactical RPG fans. As the difficulty rises, players will need to rely more on strategic planning rather than brute force to succeed.
