The next major content drop for the Call of Duty franchise is almost here. Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Call of Duty: Warzone are preparing for Season 03, and it’s shaping up to be one of the biggest updates yet.
Launching on April 2, 2026, Season 03 introduces new multiplayer maps, major updates to Verdansk, a brand-new Zombies survival map, fresh weapons, and a huge amount of content across all game modes.
Call of Duty Season 03 Release Date and What’s New
Season 03 officially launches on April 2, 2026, bringing a massive update to both Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Call of Duty: Warzone.
At launch, players can expect:
- Nine new and returning multiplayer maps
- A brand-new Zombies survival experience
- A massive new point of interest in Verdansk
- New weapons and gameplay mechanics
- A limited-time free-to-play mode in Endgame

Multiplayer Gets Nine Maps and New Modes in Season 03
Multiplayer players are getting one of the biggest map drops in recent years. Season 03 launches with new maps like Beacon and Abyss, plus the Mission: Trident skirmish map. Classic fan-favorite maps Plaza and Gridlock are also making a comeback.
Mid-season content will continue the momentum with:
- The new Onsen map
- The return of Summit
- The return of Hacienda
New multiplayer modes are also arriving in Season 03, including Demolition at launch, followed by Aim High and Snipers Only shortly after. Later in the season, players can test their movement skills in the new Freerun mode and take part in fun modes like Freeze Tag and Heat Wave Havoc.
Zombies Mode Adds a New Survival Map and More Content
Zombies fans also have a lot to look forward to. Season 03 introduces the Ashwood Survival Map, where players must fight endless waves of undead enemies inside the Ashes of the Damned environment.
Additional Zombies content includes:
- Directed Mode for Paradox Junction
- A new Starting Room Mode
- A new competitive Zombies mode called Zombie Battle
- A brand-new round-based map arriving mid-season
This makes Season 03 one of the biggest Zombies updates for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 so far.
Verdansk Expands with a Huge New POI in Warzone
Call of Duty: Warzone is also receiving a major map update in Season 03. The southern hills of Verdansk have been transformed with a massive new location called the Launch Pad, which is expected to become one of the hottest drop zones in the game.
The update also introduces:
- Big map rotation between Verdansk and Avalon
- New limited-time modes including Hot Pursuit and Prop Hunt Royale
- New gameplay features like Wall Jump and Grapple Hook
- A new public event called Flashpoint
These additions aim to make Season 03 one of the most dynamic Warzone updates of 2026 so far.
New Weapons, Battle Pass Rewards, and Ranked Play Updates
Season 03 will also introduce six new weapons, including the MK35 ISR Assault Rifle and the VST SMG. Players will be able to unlock additional weapons through events and weekly challenges, including a sniper rifle, pistol, and melee weapon.
Other new content includes:
- A brand-new Battle Pass with operator skins and weapon blueprints
- More than 80 new weapon camos
- Weekly challenges with exclusive rewards
- New store bundles and cosmetics
Ranked Play is also getting a refresh across both multiplayer and Warzone Resurgence, giving competitive players new rewards and challenges to chase.
Endgame Mode Goes Free-to-Play for a Limited Time
One of the most interesting additions in Season 03 is the limited-time free-to-play version of Endgame mode. Players who don’t own the full game will be able to join the action and try the mode with default operators.
Season 03 also introduces new Operations in Endgame, including Operation Poison Pill, along with new abilities and a new progression system.
