The Pokémon Company has just announced some thrilling updates for the Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket app. Starting January 29, 2025, players will be able to enjoy a highly anticipated trade feature, allowing them to trade their digital Pokémon cards with friends. This new feature will enable players to expand their card collections by using trade hourglasses and trade tokens to exchange cards of similar rarity. Initially, players will be able to trade cards from the Genetic Apex and Mythical Island expansions, with plans to include more tradeable cards in future updates.
But that’s not all! On January 30, 2025, the Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket app will also release a brand-new expansion called Space-Time Smackdown. This expansion will introduce a variety of Pokémon from the Sinnoh region, including the Legendary Pokémon Dialga and Palkia. Players can look forward to two new digital booster packs featuring these Legendary Pokémon, as well as unique card illustrations of fan-favorite Pokémon like Lucario and the three first partner Pokémon from the Sinnoh region: Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup. Collectors can obtain these new cards by opening booster packs or using the wonder pick feature.
Additionally, the Space-Time Smackdown expansion will offer new binder and display board covers featuring Dialga, Palkia, and the Mythical Pokémon Darkrai. Fans can get a sneak peek of this exciting expansion by watching the new trailer on the official Pokémon YouTube channel.
