Microids is excited to announce the upcoming release of Asterix & Obelix: Mission Babylon, a brand-new adventure developed by Balio Studio. Launching on October 30, 2025, for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, the game sends our two beloved Gauls far from their home of Armorica on a globetrotting journey. Get ready for a muscle-packed, punch-filled quest to the ends of the earth!
A Thrashing Adventure in the East
In this latest installment, Asterix and Obelix are heading east, a brand new setting for the iconic duo. Their mission? To save King Monipehni, ruler of the legendary Parthian Empire, who has been poisoned by the nefarious sorcerer Bahmbuhzeli. To find the antidote, our heroes must travel through mysterious lands, from sun-drenched deserts to the exotic corners of Babylon. And, of course, they’ll be handing out their signature beatdowns to any overconfident Roman legionnaires who get in their way.
Co-op Chaos and Platforming Fun
Asterix & Obelix: Mission Babylon is built for fun, with a strong emphasis on local co-op play. You and a friend can take full advantage of the duo’s complementary strengths, with each character having unique abilities perfect for solving puzzles and dishing out damage. If you’re flying solo, don’t worry—the game is still a generous and accessible experience. You’ll be able to enjoy bashing legionnaires, avoiding tricky traps, and exploring a vibrant world on your own.
The game features four all-new worlds, each with its own unique visual style, gameplay mechanics, and challenges. From the Eastern landscapes to the hidden wonders of Babylon, every environment is packed with fun details and winks to the original comic books. With dynamic combat, epic boss fights, and secrets to uncover in every level, the adventure promises to be as explosive as it is humorous—all true to the irreverent spirit of Asterix and Obelix.
Asterix & Obelix: Mission Babylon will be available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on October 30, 2025.
