Arknights: Endfield Version 1.1 Update Launches March 12 With New Operators, Story Arc, and Major Gameplay Overhaul

Endfield

The first major Arknights Endfield Version 1.1 Update is officially on the way, and it’s bringing a tidal wave of new content. Global publisher GRYPHLINE has confirmed that Version 1.1, titled Old Deep Water Dies, by Rising Tide It is Denied, launches as a free update on March 12, 2026 for all players.

Following the game’s strong global debut earlier this year, this update signals a major expansion for the 3D industrial RPG spin-off of the hit Arknights franchise.

A Major Milestone for Arknights: Endfield

Since its global launch on January 22, 2026, Arknights: Endfield has exceeded internal performance projections in player count, engagement, and playtime. According to Producer Light Zhong, Version 1.1 directly responds to the community’s rapid adoption and feedback.

The Arknights Endfield Version 1.1 Update delivers new Operators, a fresh story region, system overhauls, industrial expansions, and player-friendly rewards—making it the game’s most significant content drop yet.

New Operators Arrive in Version 1.1

One of the biggest highlights of the Arknights Endfield Version 1.1 Update is the arrival of two powerful 6-star Operators that reshape squad-building strategies.

Tangtang (6★ Caster)

Dubbed a “one-girl team,” Tangtang specializes in AOE Cryo damage and battlefield control. Her Ultimate ability, DA CHIEF SEES YOU!, immobilizes all enemies within range—including bosses—creating decisive damage windows for coordinated squad bursts.

She introduces powerful crowd-control potential that may redefine high-difficulty combat encounters.

Rossi (6★ Guard)

Rossi brings a unique mechanic to the table. She can convert Arts Infliction into Vulnerability (defense break), making her a key enabler for Physical-focused squads. By shredding enemy defenses, Rossi significantly boosts the damage ceiling of primary DPS Operators.

For meta-focused players, Rossi may quickly become a must-pull unit in the Arknights Endfield Version 1.1 Update.

Hydro-Industrialization System: A New Era of Production

The Arknights Endfield Version 1.1 Update expands the evolving AIC system with a brand-new hydro-industrialization layer.

Hydro Mining Rig

Players can now mine Cuprium using water flow instead of electricity. Unlike traditional facilities, Hydro Mining Rigs operate independently of the power grid, opening up new strategic base layouts.

Logistics Overhaul

  • Long-distance liquid transport Conduits
  • Water Treatment Units for sewage processing

Forges of the Sky Expansion

Placement limits increase from two to four units, dramatically boosting endgame resource production potential.

This expansion reinforces Endfield’s hybrid identity—blending base-building, logistics management, and real-time RPG combat.

New Story Area: Qingbo Stockade

The Arknights Endfield Version 1.1 Update introduces Qingbo Stockade, a new Wuling region filled with political tension and escalating conflict.

As the Endministrator, players investigate rising instability between Wuling City and the newly arrived forces of Nefarith and Ardashir. This narrative arc expands the Talos-II storyline and sets the stage for even larger conflicts in future updates.

The update continues Endfield’s signature blend of industrial sci-fi worldbuilding and character-driven storytelling.

Expanded Rewards and Player Progression

GRYPHLINE is doubling down on player-friendly systems in Version 1.1.

New Beginner Support

Players who reach specific Chapter 1 milestones will receive 10 Chartered Headhunting Permits. Existing players who already meet requirements can claim rewards immediately.

Login Events

  • Gently Flows Qingbo (7-day event)
  • Pearl of the Pack (7-day event)

Battle Pass Improvements

The Protocol Pass now grants periodic Basic Headhunting Permits.

AIC Quota Expansion

Players now receive AIC Quotas for obtaining 4★, 5★, and 6★ Operators for the first time. Retroactive rewards will be delivered via in-game mail.

Advanced Gear Optimization Reduces RNG

A major quality-of-life highlight in the Arknights Endfield Version 1.1 Update is the introduction of the Valley Multi-Line Engraving Kit.

This system allows players to craft Essences with three customized stats through the Stock Redistribution system. The result? Reduced RNG friction and greater control over endgame weapon optimization.

For competitive and high-level players, this represents a meaningful shift toward build agency.

Community-Driven Gameplay Improvements

Listening to player feedback, GRYPHLINE has implemented sweeping system optimizations:

Construction Precision Improvements

  • Power line buffer range extended to 20m (100m total)
  • No more snapping during dialogue or combat
  • Controller users can move facilities via long-press

Exploration Enhancements

  • Minimap accessible while using ziplines
  • Improved vertical navigation in Qingbo Stockade

Combat Refinements

  • Operators enter Protocol Spaces with max HP and Ultimate Energy
  • Improved visibility for Red Flash enemy telegraphs

These refinements significantly improve accessibility and overall user experience, especially for controller players.

Looking Ahead: Version 1.2 and Beyond

The Arknights Endfield Version 1.1 Update sets the stage for Version 1.2, which will expand Talos-II even further.

Upcoming content includes:

  • Defense of the Xiranite Dam
  • Alliance with Tianshi Zhuang
  • Two new maps
  • A new outpost
  • Fluid-based AIC Factory production system

The post-launch roadmap suggests GRYPHLINE is committed to long-term expansion.
