BAFTA Games

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) is set to celebrate two decades of iconic video game music with the launch of BAFTA Games in Concert, a landmark live event premiering on January 31, 2026, at the prestigious Royal Festival Hall in London.

The event, created in collaboration with Nibbs Events and Esk, will showcase BAFTA-nominated and award-winning scores from some of the most beloved titles in gaming history, including Baldur’s Gate 3, Assassin’s Creed, Tomb Raider: Legend, Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture, and many more.

A Celebration of 20 Years of Games Music

This first-of-its-kind concert brings together the BBC Concert Orchestra, conducted by acclaimed composer Austin Wintory (Journey, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate). The evening will feature a dynamic mix of live orchestral performance, synchronized visuals, and in-game footage, creating a fully immersive celebration of video game music’s emotional and cultural impact.

BAFTA CEO Jane Millichip emphasized the significance of the event:

“Game scores capture the hearts and imaginations of millions across the globe. This concert and its international tour will unite fans, artists, and industry figures in an extraordinary celebration of creativity.”

Wintory, who will both conduct and curate the performance, shared his excitement:

“Composing is often a solitary process, so it’s thrilling to gather an orchestra, incredible composers, and passionate fans all in one space. I’m honored to help bring this celebration of games music to life.”
