BOOM Esports Books Final Ticket to The International 2025

The scale tipped last minute in favor of BOOM Esports.

After several heartbreaks, BOOM Esports finally made a massive comeback as the resurging SEA powerhouse claimed the last ticket to The International 2025, outlasting Flipster Talon in a nerve-wracking 2-1 series.

Led by veteran Timothy “TIMS” Randrup, BOOM Esports waded through a wavy route, dropping their first match in the upper bracket against Team Nemesis in a close 2-1 series.

From there, BOOM clawed their way through the lower bracket finals, winning two series with 2-1 scorelines and securing a clean 2-0 sweep against Ivory — all en route to their do-or-die clash against Flipster Talon.

Series Recap: The Winning Run of BOOM Esports

The opening game of the series was a statement win for BOOM Esports, dominating the killboard 36-16. The match was single-handedly carried by Laotian star Souliya “JaCkkY” Khoomphetsavong, who posted a monstrous 20-1-8 KDA. On the other side, Flipster Talon’s carry, Nuengnara “23savage” Teeramahanon, struggled mightily with a rough 0-8-8 finish.

Refusing to fold, Flipster Talon clapped back in game two, notching a faster victory and tying the series in just 36 minutes. Topping the 29-18 scoreboard, midlane superstar Rafli “Mikoto” Fathur Rahman and offlaner Chung “Ws`” Wei Shen combined for impressive 11-1-16 and 12-4-13 KDAs, carrying their team to a much-needed equalizer.

The deciding game turned into a seesaw battle, dragging the fight out to 47 minutes. BOOM Esports’ final draft pick proved to be the series clincher — locking in a Razor for JaCkkY, a decision that outdrafted Flipster Talon and shifted the momentum. Despite Flipster Talon tipping the scales with gold leads throughout the match, BOOM’s discipline and JaCkkY’s flawless 12-0-9 performance ultimately sealed the deal.
