Fans waiting to unwind with Comfy Girl: Lofi Companion will have to stay cozy a little longer. Developer Unorthodox Box has officially announced that the relaxing lifestyle sim will now launch on October 8, 2025, instead of its original September 3 release date.
The decision comes after the studio evaluated the crowded September release calendar—most notably the highly anticipated launch of Hollow Knight: Silksong on September 4.
Why the Delay?
Unorthodox Box shared that moving the release was a strategic choice:
“The truth is that September has become a very crowded release window. Most significantly, Hollow Knight: Silksong is set to launch just one day after our planned release. We believe it is important for Comfy Girl: Lofi Companion to have its own space on the calendar, where it can be seen and appreciated without being overshadowed by one of the most anticipated games of the decade.”
The extra weeks will also allow the developers to fine-tune the experience. “We know how eager players are to relax with Comfy Girl, and we do not take this delay lightly,” the team added.
