Fans of the Demon Slayer series have something exciting to look forward to this summer. SEGA has officially announced that “Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles 2” will be making its way to North America and Europe on August 5, 2025. This highly anticipated sequel will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Steam, and the Nintendo Switch family of systems.
To build the hype, SEGA has released a new trailer that gives fans a glimpse of the Entertainment District Arc as it will be portrayed in the game’s Story mode. The visuals and action sequences promise to deliver an immersive experience that stays true to the beloved anime series.
Starting today, March 5, 2025, digital pre-orders are open for PlayStation, Xbox, and Steam platforms, with the Nintendo Switch version following soon. Players who opt for the Digital Deluxe Edition, priced at £64.99, will unlock a host of exclusive content, including the base game, character unlock keys, special voice sets, and battle attire costumes. Additionally, pre-ordering the Digital Deluxe Edition grants early access to the game starting on July 31, 2025.
For those who prefer the Digital Standard Edition, priced at £54.99, it includes the base game and two Kimetsu Academy Character Unlock Keys. Physical editions are also available for pre-order at the same price, featuring the base game and two character unlock keys.
Players with save data from the original “Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles” or “Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- Sweep the Board!” will receive bonus items, including additional character unlock keys and battle attire costumes. These bonuses add an extra layer of excitement for returning players.
