Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe S.A.S. has announced that DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO, the highly anticipated sequel in the legendary DRAGON BALL Z: BUDOKAI TENKAICHI series, has surpassed 5 million units sold worldwide since its launch. Released to critical acclaim in October, the game has become the fastest-selling DRAGON BALL console game to date. DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO is available on PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam®.

Developed by Spike Chunsoft, DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO sets a new standard for arena brawlers. Utilizing the power of Unreal® Engine 5, the game delivers stunning visuals true to the anime and features lightning-paced combat and large destructible environments. Players have embraced the game for its action-packed gameplay modes, including online and co-op multiplayer, Episode Battle mode where they can relive iconic battles from the DRAGON BALL anime series, and Custom Battle mode to create, play, and share user-generated content using a robust selection of characters, stages, and unique items.

The game recently expanded its roster with the “Hero of Justice” DLC pack, adding 11 new fighters, including Gohan Beast, Cell Max, Gamma 1, and Gamma 2, bringing the total to 182 characters. These features, along with frequent downloadable content updates and official sanctioned tournaments, have solidified DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO as one of the most critically acclaimed titles in the beloved anime franchise.
