Etheria: Restart is kicking off the new year in a big way as Season SS3: Auric Warcry officially begins today. Announced by XD Games, the latest season introduces a wave of new incentives, quality-of-life systems, fresh Animus characters, and competitive updates designed to welcome both new players and returning veterans. The season will run until April 5, 2026.
With generous progression boosts and expanded seasonal content, Auric Warcry positions SS3 as the most accessible and rewarding season yet for Etheria: Restart.
SS3 Auric Warcry Focuses on Player-Friendly Progression
For veteran players, Season SS3 introduces a limited-time Animus Reconfiguration event. This system allows players to reset up to three owned Animuses, returning them to their original Star level, character level, and Prowess Empower state.
All invested resources—including lattices, Shadowprints, Investigation Records, Prowess materials, and Etheria Coins—are fully refunded, giving long-time players a rare opportunity to re-optimize their teams without penalty.
Dormant Coffer System Rewards Returning Players
Returning players will be welcomed back with the introduction of the Dormant Coffer, a brand-new system designed to reduce the fear of falling behind. The Dormant Coffer allows players to accumulate up to 60 days of unclaimed resources while offline, which can be instantly collected upon logging back in.
This feature ensures that returning players can jump straight back into the action without missing out on essential progression materials.
Seasonal Servers Boost New Player Growth
New players joining Etheria: Restart during SS3 will find the Auric Warcry seasonal servers packed with bonuses designed to accelerate early progression.
Players who create a character on the new servers will receive:
- A 14-day double-drop buff
- An increased Growth Boost event cap, expanded from level 30 to level 100
- A new matchmaking safeguard preventing Summit Arena matches against level 100 players until reaching Diamond rank or level 100
These changes create a fairer and more welcoming environment for newcomers learning the game’s systems.
New Animus Characters Join the Roster
Season SS3 introduces two brand-new Animus characters at launch, each bringing unique playstyles to Etheria: Restart.
Kethos, the 12th executioner of R.C.S. and the game’s first Kinetic-type Animus, debuts with a theatrical combat style inspired by his past as a world-renowned artist. His exclusive passive allows him to take over ally turns, providing powerful tactical support, while his signature weapon, Blood Maiden, delivers dramatic and punishing damage.
Joining him is Bornova, a shadow operative from the E.O.S. Security Defense Bureau’s 3rd Special Operations Unit. Built as an offense-focused DPS Animus, Bornova excels at eliminating single targets, with an exclusive passive that amplifies damage against isolated enemies.
More Animus Arriving Throughout the Season
The SS3 roster expansion continues later in the season with additional Animus releases:

- Xuanli, co-director of DOKI Entertainment
- Gianc, former resident of the Nightmares
- March 19, 2026:
- Asal, military officer of Elysian Prison
- Airon, inspector from the E.O.S. Security Defense Bureau
These additions further expand team-building options and narrative depth throughout Auric Warcry.
Competitive and PvP Updates Expand in SS3
Season SS3 also builds on features introduced in Season SS2: Rime Tiara. In the Arena Realm event Summit Brawl, players can now select any three Animus from their roster to battle in MAX form, granting fully leveled characters with maxed skills for strategic experimentation.
Additionally, cross-server global matchmaking is coming to the competitive PvP mode RTA, allowing players to test their skills against a wider pool of opponents. This update is expected to arrive mid-season.
