Get ready to embark on an intergalactic adventure with Wild Rift Patch 6.1: Ascending Stars, launching on April 17, 2025. This patch introduces a cosmic theme that will transform your gaming experience with new champions, reworked abilities, and exciting gameplay updates.
Dual Nova Theme
Patch 6.1 brings the Dual Nova theme, immersing players in a galaxy filled with stars and constellations. Upon logging in, you’ll be transported to the Challenger’s Star, with the Adventure’s Star becoming accessible a few weeks into the patch. Orbiting these stars are six constellations, each offering unique goals and rewards.
New Champions
Three iconic champions from League of Legends are joining Wild Rift:
- Ryze, the Rune Mage: An ancient archmage with powerful AOE capabilities and a game-changing ultimate, Realm Warp.
- Nocturne, the Eternal Nightmare: A force of pure evil that uses Paranoia to plunge the map into darkness and terrorize enemies.
- Zilean, the Chronokeeper: Master of time, capable of slowing enemies, speeding up allies, and reversing death with Chronoshift.
Champion Reworks
Several champions are receiving updates to enhance their gameplay:
- Garen, the Might of Demacia: Gains growing damage reduction stats through Courage and increased armor reduction with Judgment.
- Ambessa, the Matriarch of War: Adjusted to excel in the Baron lane with reduced monster damage and increased life steal and displacement immunity.
- Minor updates are also coming to Diana, Fiora, Jax, Sona, and Kalista.
Gameplay Enhancements
Patch 6.1 introduces a Bandle-inspired Rift in non-Ranked modes, featuring Enchanted Gifts from special portals during the laning phase. Mages will benefit from new itemization changes:
- Bandle Fantasy: Adds bonus damage to active attacks based on the number of enemies hit.
- Boots of Mana and Ionian Boots of Lucidity: Enhanced for better early wave-clearing ability.
- Hextech GLP800: Offers damage and utility with exploding frost bombs.
- Malignance: Boosts ultimates by dealing damage and reducing magic resist.
Ranked & Game Modes
The Challenger’s Star marks the start of a new Ranked Season with updated reward tracks and a new skin for Janna. Midway through the patch, the Adventure’s Star unlocks, featuring AAAARAM and other alternate game modes with galactic designs and Starry Augments.
Wild Pass
The new Wild Passes offer stunning skins, including Wondertown Twisted Fate and Battlecast Nasus, with the former debuting a new skinline.
