The wait is over! Kyoto-based developer Sassan03 and publisher room6 have officially launched FREEZIA, a cryosleep management puzzle-action game now available on Steam. Set in a chilling near-future where Earth’s environment has collapsed, players step into the role of Freezia, an artificial intelligence tasked with guiding humanity into deep freeze for its survival.

A Story of Humanity on Ice
In the bleak world of FREEZIA, the only way to save humanity is to put it into a long cryosleep until the planet recovers. As Freezia, players must manage three cryosleep pods at a time, carefully stabilizing their temperatures within strict time limits. Precision is key – one mistake could mean a frozen fatality.
The game’s narrative adds depth to the challenge, featuring a cast ranging from humans who worship Freezia as a god to those reluctantly facing the cold. Pixel art visuals, paired with a soothing music-box soundtrack, create an immersive, dreamlike atmosphere as the curtain falls on humanity’s fate.
Gameplay Modes to Test Your Limits
Originally created during an internal game jam at room6 in 2024, FREEZIA’s full release adds two new modes for seasoned players:
- Endless Mode – Keep stabilizing pods as the timer speeds up, testing your endurance.
- Time Attack Mode – Race to stabilize a set number of pods as fast as possible, and climb the online global leaderboards.
Both modes push your reflexes and accuracy to the limit, ensuring replayability beyond the story campaign.
