Get ready for a unique gaming experience! Melbourne-based developer Jake Houston has announced that their upcoming game, Game Over – A Musical RPG??, will be launching on PC via Steam on April 11, 2025.

Game Over – A Musical RPG?? is a quirky musical RPG that combines rhythm-based combat, zany characters, moral dilemmas, and platforming elements. The game explores what happens after the credits roll. What do henchmen do when there’s nothing left to hench? And what becomes of our heroes who have rendered the weapons industry obsolete after defeating all the villains?

With multiple endings and a plot filled with humor, this game promises a fresh take on the RPG genre. Developed over eight years by a solo developer, Game Over – A Musical RPG?? features diegetic music, and players will even learn what “diegetic” means!

“Game Over – A Musical RPG?? has been my life for the past eight years, which is older than most toddlers,” shared Jake Houston. “I’ve poured my heart and soul into this game, and it still makes me laugh when I play it. Each character carries a piece of my fears, insecurities, joys, and loves, wrapped up in a fun gameplay experience.
