The next chapter of Genshin Impact is almost here — and it’s one of the game’s most ambitious updates yet. HoYoverse has officially announced that Genshin Impact Version “Luna II” (Song of the Welkin Moon: Reprise — An Elegy for Faded Moonlight) will launch on October 22, 2025, introducing the highly anticipated Miliastra Wonderland, a brand-new user-generated content (UGC) system that lets players create, explore, and share their own adventures.
Alongside the debut of this creative sandbox comes a fresh Archon Quest, the arrival of Nefer as a new playable 5-star Dendro Catalyst user, and the long-awaited return of key characters such as Varka and Arlecchino as the battle in Nod-Krai intensifies.
Welcome to Miliastra Wonderland
The newly unveiled Miliastra Wonderland ushers in a groundbreaking era for Genshin Impact. Designed as an expansive sandbox and UGC ecosystem, it allows players to design and explore hundreds of player-created Stages, ranging from puzzle adventures and PvP battles to simulation and party-style minigames.
Players who have completed Act I of the Archon Quest Prologue, The Outlander Who Caught the Wind, can freely access Miliastra Wonderland. Each Stage can feature its own ranking systems, achievements, and leaderboards, rewarding creativity and skill alike. Whether you’re teaming up with friends or solving puzzles solo, the Wonderland delivers endless opportunities for discovery and collaboration.
Express Yourself in Style
In Miliastra Wonderland, players will take on the role of customizable Manekins — avatars that represent them within this new world. These Manekins can be personalized with a wide array of options, from hairstyles and facial features to outfits and accessories. Mix and match components for a one-of-a-kind look, or equip preset sets with a single tap.
Special events and challenges within the Wonderland will also reward players with exclusive cosmetics, trial vouchers, and outfit sets, letting every Traveler show off their creativity both in Teyvat and beyond.
Become a Creator: The Miliastra Sandbox
For those who want to shape their own adventures, the Miliastra Sandbox offers a deep suite of creation tools. Players, known as Craftspeople, can design Stages using an intuitive editor that allows for terrain manipulation, item placement, and character skill customization. Logical flow systems let creators connect mechanics together, while official tutorials, forums, and incentive programs provide ongoing support for aspiring designers.
This marks a major evolution for Genshin Impact, turning it into not only an open-world RPG but also a creative platform where imagination knows no bounds.
New Story Developments and Familiar Faces
Version “Luna II” continues the epic saga in Nod-Krai, where players confront the menacing Rächer of Solnari, Rerir. This time, help arrives from unexpected quarters — Grand Master Varka finally steps into action, and Fatui Harbingers Arlecchino (“The Knave”) and Sandrone (“The Marionette”) join the fight.
Under the guidance of The Damselette, a mysterious new ally named Nefer, head of the Curatorium of Secrets, aids the Traveler in unraveling Rerir’s dark ambitions. Completing this Archon Quest will reward players with an additional 560 Primogems.
Meet Nefer: The Dendro Catalyst of Secrets
Nefer, the latest 5-star Dendro Catalyst wielder, makes her long-awaited debut in this update. Her kit revolves around Lunar-Bloom damage, with abilities that absorb Verdant Dew to enhance her Charged Attacks — which consume no Stamina when activated.
Her Elemental Skill and Ascendant Gleam state allow her to convert Dendro Cores into Seeds of Deceit, amplifying her attacks even further. Beyond battle, Nefer’s role as a master of secrets lets her trade gathered intel at the Adventurers’ Guild for unique side stories.
Nefer headlines the first half of the Version “Luna II” Event Wishes alongside Furina, while Arlecchino and Zhongli return in the second half.
Events, Rewards, and More
In addition to the main storyline, players can look forward to limited-time events and special commissions led by The Damselette. Completing them unlocks exclusive namecards, the Ascendant Gleam state, and valuable resources. Meanwhile, the Seasonal Event in Sumeru offers Primogem rewards and a chance to invite Collei to your team for free.
