Sharkmob has announced that their new tactical extraction shooter, Exoborne, will have a playtest this February. This event will take place from February 12 to 17, 2025, and gamers can join via Steam.
In Exoborne, players become the Reborn, equipped with powerful Exo-Rigs. These suits can be tailored to fit different playstyles, offering endless tactical options. Players face off against rival factions, other players, and nature itself in the dangerous terrain of Colton County.
The game’s trailer introduces Tar, the leader of the Reborn, who rallies players to battle against the forces of Rebirth. Sharkmob’s Executive Producer, Brynley Gibson, emphasized the importance of this playtest. It represents a major step in open collaboration with the gaming community, aiming to perfect the game with their feedback.
As Reborn, players must navigate extreme conditions, from deadly storms to treacherous landscapes, all while battling various threats. The Exo-Rigs are key to survival, providing players with the ability to withstand harsh weather and gain tactical advantages.
Exoborne combines high-stakes extraction missions with a mix of PvPvE gameplay, pushing players to think strategically to survive. Regular updates will introduce new story elements and challenges, keeping the game fresh and exciting.
