Goblin’s Die: Supercell Co-Founder Backs Potion8’s Quirky Co-Op RPG

Goblin’s Die

Finnish indie studio Potion8 is bringing a chaotic twist to the action-adventure RPG genre with its debut title, Goblin’s Die, set to launch on Steam. The game is supported by Mikko Kodisoja, co-founder of Supercell, who provides both investment and advisory support to the project.

A Goblin-Powered Co-Op Adventure

In Goblin’s Die, players take on the roles of mischievous goblin workers tasked with recovering fragments of a shattered mystical artefact. Unlike traditional RPGs, goblins aren’t locked into rigid classes—their abilities evolve depending on the gear they pick up, creating unpredictable synergies and chaotic co-op gameplay.

Players can scavenge, improvise weapons and tools, and drag loot back to the expanding Hive, their communal hub. The game is designed for 1–5 players, making every session dynamic, collaborative, and full of surprises.

Goblin’s Die flips the traditional RPG power fantasy on its head,” said **Creative Director Janne Kodisoja. “Instead of legendary heroes, you’re a bunch of goblins trying to survive—and somehow pull it off together.”

Humor, Teamwork, and Replayability

Potion8 emphasizes humor, teamwork, and replayability as central pillars of Goblin’s Die. The unpredictability of the goblins’ roles, combined with the evolving Hive, ensures no two runs are ever the same. Players can experiment with gear combinations and strategies, fostering creative problem-solving and chaotic fun in every playthrough.

Steam Next Fest Demo and Early Access

Fans won’t have to wait long to try out the goblin chaos: Goblin’s Die will appear in Steam Next Fest in February 2026, and a free demo is already available on Steam for early testers. Following the demo, Potion8 plans to launch an Early Access release, allowing players to provide feedback and watch the game evolve alongside the developers.

Steam Demo: Play Goblin’s Die

Goblin’s Die promises a fresh, humorous, and unpredictable RPG experience, perfect for players who love co-op chaos, evolving gameplay, and goblin hijinks. With Supercell backing and a demo already live, the game is shaping up to be one of 2026’s most mischievous indie hits.
