Marvel Games and NetEase Games have unveiled the full details for Season 2: Hellfire Gala in the award-winning and critically-acclaimed Super Hero team-based PVP shooter, Marvel Rivals. Get ready for new heroes, new maps, exciting features, and a party that’s about to be crashed!
Season 2 kicks off on April 11th, 2025, and will run for three months, split into two action-packed halves. The first half welcomes the telepathic and diamond-hard Emma Frost, while the second half unleashes the menacing Ultron Four onto the battlefield. But that’s not all – Season 2 also introduces two brand-new maps, special events, and fresh Team-Up possibilities.

The Hellfire Gala: Beauty and the Bot
After the intense events of the Eternal Night saga, Emma Frost has organized a lavish Hellfire Gala on the mutant haven of Krakoa. Heroes are invited to don their finest attire for a night of celebration amidst stunning botanical landscapes and dazzling fireworks. However, peace is never truly an option for Earth’s mightiest heroes, as the uninvited Ultron crashes the party, threatening Krakoa’s most valuable treasures.
Meet the New Heroes:
- Emma Frost (Vanguard): A master of telepathy and a shimmering force on the battlefield. Emma Frost can seamlessly switch between her powerful mental abilities and her indestructible diamond form, shielding allies and obliterating foes with elegant precision.
- Ultron Four (Role TBA – Arriving in the Second Half of Season 2): The iconic, relentless AI menace is set to join the Marvel Rivals roster, promising to bring his signature brand of robotic destruction to the fight.
New Battlegrounds Await:
Season 2 will introduce two exciting new maps:
- HELLFIRE GALA: KRAKOA: Immerse yourself in the grandeur of the mutant’s annual celebration, complete with breathtaking botanical scenery and spectacular fireworks displays.
Enhanced Teamwork and Missions:
- Team-Up Adjustments: Season 2 will feature the first adjustments to Team-Up Abilities, introducing new synergistic pairings while tweaking or removing existing ones to keep the meta fresh.
- Weekly Missions: Alongside the existing daily missions and challenges, the Marvel Rivals team is implementing weekly missions. This change will provide active players with more opportunities to fully claim all the valuable rewards from the Battle Pass by the end of the season.
- Season Length Shift: Starting from Season 3, Marvel Rivals seasons will transition to a two-month format, with a new hero debuting each month. Related systems will be adjusted accordingly, with more details to come before the launch of Season 3.
