Inspired by Chinese New Year traditions, folklore, and the warmth of communal celebration, Version 2.2 expands the world of Infinity Nikki with the mysterious Wanxiang Realm, powerful new 5-Star Resonance Ability Outfits, and festival-themed entertainment gameplay.
A New Story Chapter Unfolds in the Wanxiang Realm
At the heart of Infinity Nikki Version 2.2 is a brand-new story chapter set in the Wanxiang Realm, a land shrouded in eternal night yet illuminated by glowing streets, floating lanterns, and constant celebration. During the New Bloom Festival, Nikki and Momo arrive in this vibrant realm, home to mythical beings known as Chromafaces.
While the realm initially feels joyful and alive, Nikki soon discovers a darker truth beneath the festivities. The lives of Wanxiang’s residents are governed by Character Tokens, which assign fixed roles and identities. As Nikki works alongside the Chromafaces at Baiqiao Hall, she begins to uncover cracks in the realm’s carefully constructed reality.
Themes of Freedom, Identity, and Choice
The Version 2.2 story reveals that the Wanxiang Realm was created by Chroma in an attempt to save cursed stone statues. By enforcing imitation and repeating roles, Chroma sought to preserve life—but at the cost of true freedom.
Nikki ultimately challenges this illusion, arguing that salvation built on control only deepens suffering. The narrative emphasizes a core theme of Infinity Nikki: true redemption comes from choice, individuality, and living as one’s authentic self, not from rigid perfection.

Infinity Nikki Version 2.2 introduces two new 5-Star Resonance Outfits that significantly enhance traversal, exploration, and resource collection.
Where Wanxiang Weaves Life
Inspired by classic Chinese wuxia aesthetics, this outfit allows Nikki to shapeshift into different Spirit Personas while automatically gathering nearby resources, streamlining exploration throughout the Wanxiang Realm.
Chroma’s Mortal Heart
Bestowing the power of the Celestial Deer, this Resonance Outfit enables flight and enhanced movement, along with Celestial Deer Vision, which can locate and mark hidden treasure chests across the realm.
In addition, a new Ability Outfit titled Nefarious Shadows allows Nikki to see through disguised magical creatures, reveal hidden pathways, and uncover secrets scattered throughout the environment.
Exploring the Wanxiang Realm’s Distinct Regions
The Wanxiang Realm is divided into several visually and thematically unique areas:
- Cai Ye – A lively festival district filled with lanterns, fireworks, and crowds, bustling both day and night

Starting February 14, 2026, Infinity Nikki will introduce a cultural collaboration with the Dunhuang Fine Arts Institute, inspired by ancient Dunhuang murals.
The collaboration includes a co-op quest titled “A Millennium in Colors,” featuring the Mural Revival gameplay system. Players can restore murals through interactive coloring mechanics and earn free Dunhuang-themed rewards, including the iconic Flying Apsaras outfit.
Offline Haidilao Hot Pot Crossover in the US
From February 2 to February 20, 2026, the New Bloom Festival extends beyond the game through an offline crossover with Haidilao Hot Pot locations in Los Angeles and New York.
At participating locations, visitors can:
- Scan QR codes to play a mini-game and receive instant in-game rewards
- Order crossover drinks to receive exclusive Nikki and Momo merchandise
- Unlock a Momo AR experience to enjoy in-store
