Kakehashi Games has teamed up with indie developer Serial Project to publish their debut title, the deck-building JRPG adventure Serial World, announced during the Future Games Show. The game is set to launch exclusively on PC via Steam in 2026.
A Dreamlike JRPG Adventure
Serial World invites players into a fantastical realm where everyday life collides with surreal mystery. Taking inspiration from cult classic JRPGs and anime, the game follows Milo, a young boy who discovers strange phenomena in his hometown of Bricktown. Teaming up with mysterious creatures known as Anima, Milo embarks on a looped journey of exploration, battles, and self-discovery.
The game blends deck-building mechanics, roguelike dungeons, and strategic turn-based combat with vibrant, storybook-style visuals that bring its dreamlike world to life.
