Batman is back in brick form — and his next adventure looks bigger, funnier, and more feature-packed than ever. Warner Bros. Games and DC have officially announced that LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight will launch worldwide on May 29, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. Pre-orders for both the Standard and Deluxe Editions are live now.
First revealed during The Game Awards, the debut “Heroes & Villains” trailer was introduced by none other than LEGO Batman himself — broadcasting live from the Batcave and giving fans a first look at the fast-paced action, open-world exploration, and massive cast of heroes and villains.
A New LEGO Adventure Built Around Batman’s Legacy
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is an open-world action-adventure that follows Bruce Wayne from origin to legend. Players will train with the League of Shadows, defend Gotham City, and build lasting bonds with iconic allies — all wrapped in TT Games’ trademark LEGO humor.
Along the way, players will uncover crimes, solve challenges, and explore a Gotham bursting with secrets, collectibles, and surprises.
A Team of Heroes — Each with Unique Gadgets and Style
Batman isn’t fighting alone. Joining the Caped Crusader are:
- Robin and his trusty line launcher
- Nightwing wielding his signature battle staff
- Batgirl with her versatile hackarang
- Catwoman and her whip — accompanied by a loyal kitten
Each character features their own abilities, gadgets, combo systems, and progression trees, encouraging players to experiment and swap heroes as they explore Gotham.
A Rogues Gallery Worthy of the Dark Knight
The trailer also highlighted an impressive lineup of villains. Fans will face classic threats including:
- The Joker
- The Penguin
- Mr. Freeze
- Poison Ivy
- Ra’s al Ghul
- Bane
- Two-Face
- Firefly
Expect large-scale encounters, story-driven missions, and plenty of chaotic LEGO mayhem.
Players also caught their first glimpse of legendary vehicles like the Batmobile from Batman: The Animated Series and the Batpod from Christopher Nolan’s films — both fully driveable in the game’s open world.
What’s Included in the Standard Edition
The Standard Edition delivers the full main campaign plus a treasure trove of customization:
