Lost Eidolons: Veil of the Witch Update 1.3 Introduces Quick Expeditions, Phantom Arena, and New Difficulty Options

Lost Eidolons

Fans of tactical RPGs have a lot to look forward to as Lost Eidolons: Veil of the Witch receives a major new content update. Update 1.3, released by Ocean Drive Studio and Kakao Games, introduces several gameplay improvements designed to enhance pacing, challenge, and replayability for players on PC.

The update brings new features such as Quick Expeditions, a competitive Phantom Arena mode, and customizable difficulty through the Enemy Mastery Slider. Together, these additions expand how players experience the game’s tactical battles and strategic planning.

Quick Expeditions Deliver Faster Tactical Runs

One of the biggest additions in Lost Eidolons: Veil of the Witch Update 1.3 is the introduction of Quick Expeditions, a new feature designed for players who want shorter but still engaging tactical sessions.

Quick Expeditions allow players to start condensed runs that include fewer battles and events, making them perfect for quick play sessions while still preserving the core strategy elements the game is known for.

Players can unlock this feature after completing Act 3 for the first time. Once unlocked, the option becomes available from the Set Out screen, giving players the flexibility to choose between full-length campaigns or faster expeditions.

This feature is especially useful for players who want a quick tactical challenge without committing to a longer gameplay session.

Phantom Arena Mode Brings New Combat Challenges

Another major highlight of Lost Eidolons: Veil of the Witch Update 1.3 is the debut of Phantom Arena, a brand-new combat mode designed to test player strategies.

In Phantom Arena, players can save their party build from a previously completed expedition and bring that team composition into new combat scenarios. These battles introduce fresh tactical challenges, encouraging players to refine their strategies and experiment with different party setups.

The mode also includes Side Challenges and additional rewards, giving players more reasons to revisit their favorite character builds and maximize their squad’s potential.

Enemy Mastery Slider Adds Custom Difficulty Control

For players looking for a greater challenge—or a more balanced experience—the update introduces the Enemy Mastery Slider.

This new system allows players to manually adjust enemy difficulty levels in both expeditions and Phantom Arena mode. Unlike previous difficulty options, this slider is not tied to Trial conditions, giving players more freedom to customize the challenge.

Adjusting the Enemy Mastery setting affects nearly all enemy statistics, increasing or decreasing their strength depending on the selected level. However, enemy movement remains unchanged, ensuring that tactical positioning continues to play a key role in every battle.

This addition gives players more control over the gameplay experience, allowing both newcomers and veteran strategists to tailor difficulty to their preferences.
